Omoadugbo Progressive Movement to welcome Dele Oshinowo in Ketu on October 1
The Omoadugbo Progressive Movement, Ketu, has invited residents and supporters to a gathering to welcome Mayor Dele Oshinowo on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
According to the organisers’ invitation, the event will take place on Okunowo Street, Ikosi-Ketu, Lagos, at 10 a.m., coinciding with Nigeria’s Independence Day.
The gathering comes weeks after Kosofe Inside Out reported the emergence of Omoadugbo Progressives as a grassroots political and community development group in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.
In that September 9 report, the group outlined three priorities: improving community welfare, demanding democratic dividends and supporting qualified local aspirants. It said its advocacy would cover infrastructure, social development and engagement with local and state authorities to ensure government programmes reach residents. (kosofeinsideout.com)
The movement also said it wanted to strengthen indigenous participation in politics and provide a platform for community members seeking elective office. (kosofeinsideout.com)
Its latest invitation describes Oshinowo as the “incoming MHR”, signalling the organisers’ support for him for the House of Representatives. The description is an expression of political support, rather than confirmation of an election result.
The notice gives Okunowo Street as the venue but does not identify a specific building or meeting point. Residents wishing to attend should confirm the exact location with the organisers.
