Kosofe Local Government has announced a digital-skills scholarship programme for 1,000 residents, with physical registration and onboarding scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026.
The exercise will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the NULGE Hall, Kosofe Local Government Secretariat, Ogudu.
Tagged Project 1000, the initiative is sponsored by Kosofe Local Government and hosted by MicroTech. Organisers say selected beneficiaries will receive scholarships covering six weeks of training, with approximately 90 per cent of the programme delivered online.
Courses advertised under the programme include Data Analytics, Virtual Assistant training, Digital Marketing, Full-Stack Development and Artificial Intelligence Content Creation, among others.
To register, applicants must be Kosofe residents aged 18 or above. They are also expected to possess a Permanent Voterβs Card, National Identification Number and a smart device suitable for online learning.
The programme could provide young people, jobseekers, small-business owners and other interested residents with access to skills increasingly required for employment, freelancing and business growth.
Kosofe Inside Out will monitor the registration exercise and seek further information from Kosofe Local Government and MicroTech on the selection process, scholarship coverage, certification, data protection and post-training support.
