APC House of Representatives candidate for Kosofe Federal Constituency, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has taken his consultations to widows, hotel operators and community associations, seeking support for his bid to represent the constituency in Abuja.
In a statement on the engagements, the former Agboyi-Ketu council chairman said his team met with the Progressive Widows Association, popularly known as Igbeyin-Teyinse, and the Hoteliers Association, Kosofe Branch.
Oshinowo said discussions with the hoteliers centred on his development plans and vision for effective representation. He reported that the association pledged its support.
The visits also covered Miyaki CDA, Urban Renewal, Alo-Ola, Oloruntoyin, Atonda-Alonge and Ore-Ofe CDA. His team further met residents in Akerele, Aralamo, Awolewo Ireku, Idi-Orogbo, Orile-Oworo and Precious Seed CDA.
According to Oshinowo, residents welcomed the team and expressed support for his plans.
Reflecting on his eight years in office in Agboyi-Ketu, he said the experience had strengthened his connection with residents and reinforced the importance of listening to the people.
βGrassroots politics is done on the field, among the people whose future is at stake,β he said.
Oshinowo pledged to extend the engagements to more associations, wards, estates, offices and schools across Kosofe, saying his campaign would reach residents without discrimination.
