Musiliu Obanikoro has criticized the winner of the partyās primaries, Jimi Agbaje over recent comments attributed to him.
Obanikoro was responding to a statementmade by Agbajeās media team claiming that the six PDP aspirants had agreed to add the names of some omitted delegates to the total tally leading to a final figure of 864 as against the 806 delegates who actually voted.
The statement was reportedly made availale to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by Agbajeās Director of Media and Publicity, Felix Oboagwina.
In response, Obanikoro tweeted:
āFor the records, there was never any agreement between me or any aspirant or anyone whosoever to accommodate any excess votes.ā
āJimi Agbaje should not in desperation to defend Mondayās immoral and unethical show of shame, further tarnish his reputation.ā
āIf at all there was any agreement, it was an agreement between Bode George and Jimi Agbaje to compromise the outcome of the primaries!ā
āThe claim by Agbaje that we were in agreement over the excess votes is dishonestand unbecoming of a man who wants to be Lagos governor.ā
Agbaje has also responded to the statement via Twitter saying that its contents are untrue.
